1. Introduction

Welcome to Northern Star Parenting (the “App”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Northern Star Parenting (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
  • By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. User Accounts

  • You may need an account to access certain features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or suspected fraud/abuse.

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner that:

  • Complies with applicable laws, rules, and regulations;
  • Respects the rights and privacy of others;
  • Does not interfere with or disrupt the App or connected networks.

5. Prohibited Conduct

  • Posting or sharing unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or misleading content;
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the App or related systems;
  • Reverse engineering, scraping, mining, or harvesting data from the App without permission;
  • Using the App for commercial solicitation or spam.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

  • We may offer both free and paid plans with additional features.
  • Paid plans may automatically renew each billing period unless canceled before renewal.
  • If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing, renewals, and cancellations are managed by that store’s terms and your store account settings.
  • Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. Taxes may apply.
  • We may change prices or features with prior notice; continued use after changes means you accept them.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The App, including content, features, graphics, text, and software, is owned by Northern Star Parenting or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws.
  • Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, create derivative works, or exploit the App or its content without written permission.

8. User Content & Feedback

  • If you submit content (e.g., text inputs, notes, feedback), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content solely to operate and improve the App.
  • Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
  • If you provide feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

9. Health, Therapy & Coaching Disclaimers

  • The App provides informational and educational content only. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, or financial advice and does not create a therapist-client or doctor-patient relationship.
  • Always seek the advice of a qualified professional for questions about mental health, medical issues, or emergencies. If you are in danger or experiencing a crisis, call your local emergency number immediately.
  • The App is not designed for use by children and is not a HIPAA-compliant service.

10. Third-Party Services & Links

  • The App may link to or integrate third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
  • Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.

11. Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability

  • The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the App.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Northern Star Parenting and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

14. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update or modify the App and these Terms from time to time. We will post updates to this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
  • Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be brought in state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

16. App Store Terms

  • If you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to their applicable terms. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Northern Star Parenting regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements on this subject.

Legal
